Once upon a time...
Lorenzo, a 40-year-old pshychologist, has a 13-year-old daughter named Giulia. Their home is immersed in the green countryside where Mary, Giulia's nanny is always waiting. Mary has been with them, practically from the time Giulia was born, when Lorenzo's wife died.
Their days pass tranquilly. For Giulia there is biking and school. For Lorenzo: work, Giulia, the house and Olga…Olga is the only blemish in his life. Olga is a truly bizarre woman, who wants to marry Lorenzo at all costs. He doesn't even have the slightest idea.
Then it happens one nice morning that Lorenzo discovers that Giulia is part of a gang. A "baby-gang" of 5 kids that has already been caught committing various crimes. The baby-gang shoplifts in supermarkets. It is a blow to the father/pshychologist, who can't believe, even with the overwhelming evidence, that such a thing could happen to him.
Here Lorenzo's nightmare begins. He has all of the possible reactions, from jealous to fury; he is understanding; severe; he makes mistakes; tries to repair them; and in the end makes things worse. And as if it weren't enough, there is also Olga with her passionate suggestions and absurd findings.
In the meantime, Giulia plays her father for a fool, involving him in one embarassing situation after another, until all goes into a tailspin. Giluia didn't foresee that having hid a gun with her friends would set off a chain of serious problems. Once again Giulia is a little child; a child who has gotten herself into trouble without realizing it, and who needs the help and protection of her father.
Lorenzo will do what only a father can: he takes the blame for everything. In the end, a father's love for his child is without limits.
