This film is about the obsession of western women who are forced to remain young. The ritualized repetition of gestures reduces the performer to a grotesque, unreal, mechanical object. The actual situation is a paradox: the post-modern woman is strong, multi-tasked, autonomous and has emerged from a history of oppression and exclusion. But public opinion is still dominated by chauvinistic attitudes. Society is not able to assimilate these changes. Women are accomplices: they use their bodies like merchandise.
