A group of friends who were young in the eighties and the nineties get back together as they near forty to examine how their friendship, their loves and their lives have held up. The subject of SEPARATION in both friendship and love, and the impossibility of accepting it, forces them to delve into their deepest emotions and fears. This bittersweet comedy, focussed on a close-knit group of individuals, indirectly reflects a society in search of new rules and new ways of relating to one another. What happens if, instead of continuing to hide, deny and blot out sentimental and existential changes, everything is exposed, in a collective thrashing out of secrets, desires and yearnings for new relations and loves? How do people overcome the fear of changing their lives? How do they manage NEVER TO BREAK UP, even when everything around them seems to suggest they should?
