International Istanbul Short Film Festival has been organized since 1988.
The festival, which is realized by Istanbul Amateurs of Photography and Cinema Association (IFSAK), is supported by many foreign consulates and cultural attachés among which of French Cultural Center and Italian Cultural Center play the key roles.
International Istanbul Short Film Festival takes place in April annually.
The films are presented to the public in two separate halls during the week of the festival. One is a 250-seat and the other is a 400-seat hall. There are four sessions daily and each film is shown thrice in different days and sessions. Entrance is free.
The program covers fictional, experimentation films and animations. The films should be 35 mm or 16 mm with optical sound and English subtitles. It is preferable that the duration of the films does not exceed 20 minutes. Video films are not included in the program.
