The Festival spreads the best contemporary and non-contemporary cinema Fiction from all over the world. The three sections - International, National and Fugas - offers prizes of more than 45,000 euros for the winners of the different competitions. Long and short films qualify for the prizes of each section on equal terms.
The Jury Prize for the Best Film, isendowed with € 10,000 for each competition, and Special Jury Prize is endowed with € 5,000. In addition, the films of the three competitions may qualify for the Cineteca Madrid public awards, failed by voting of the spectators and each endowed with € 1,000.
