The Italian Institute of Culture in Istanbul, as cultural office of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has the aim to promote and spread the language and Italian culture, supporting the development of cultural cooperation between Italy and Turkey. For this instititional purpose it provides information regarding Italy, its educational system and scholarships, and organizes a broad and intense program of cultural events including a vast range of fields and sectors.

Together with Cinecittà, the Italian Institute of Culture has been organizing in Istanbul since 2010 the Film Festival Appointment with the Italian Cinema, a special opportunity to discover the latest Italian film production.
