It’s the holiday season in Rome, just a few days before New Year’s Eve.
Traffic, gifts, social obligations, pressure from friends: nerves are frayed and relationships are put to the test.
Leo and Irene have been seeing each other for three months, ever since love struck on Rome’s ring road. But they still haven’t faced that inevitable moment, the one when you ask: “So, what are we?”
From the outside, they seem perfect for each other. But their insecurities are slowly causing everything to fall apart.
Then, on the very night they meet to finally talk about it, his brand-new car is stolen right outside her building.
And that changes everything.

What follows is a frantic and absurd week of police stations, insurance claims, ACI offices, roommates, security guards, thieves, fathers, and nuns.
A world of irritable people who don’t want to be where they are, united in rowing against the current - against the future, against love - and in the age-old distrust reserved for “young people,” who, as it turns out, aren’t that young anymore.
Yet it is precisely by challenging the Real Powers That Be - Bureaucracy and Parents - that two young adults may find, if not the car, at least the road. And perhaps start over together.
