Margherita (Camilla Barbieri) is alone in a big city that ignores her. She has an alienating job, shallow relationships, and an obsession with cats.
Through the thin walls of her apartment, she listens to the lives of her neighbors, blurring the line between reality and imagination.

Proxima was born from the encounter between Creative Director Fabrizio Ferrini and Director Simone Rovellini, who share a past in Milan’s early-2000s underground scene: a city that by day worked behind computer screens and by night poured into another world — that of the clubs.
Shot on a budget of only 40K and filmed in just 14 days, Proxima is the very definition of an independent film and it explores the thin line between psychological and supernatural thriller, with elements of musical and comedy.
