The film chronicles some military activities carried out by the Italian contingent in Herat and Bala Morghab, Afghanistan. The title of the movie is taken from a secret code assigned to a group of journalist, a name pronounced by a sergeant of the "San Marco" Battalion whose gaze is the protagonist of the first chapter. As seen through the sergeant eyes, we can absorb the very true feelings that will lead him on his return to be an enlightened person and overall all of his reality. The film features 9 chapters with an ink on paper aphorism design by the Iranian artist Roham Fayazi. These enchantingly crafted phrases embody an acute observation that confronts reality with the truth of each chapter. The film take us from, “Happiness consists in the mere waiting of itself”, a sharpshooter’s experiences and emotions while he stands guard on the roof of PRT in Herat. To, “In a land filed with blind men, the man with one eye is King”, a chapter dedicates to the Persistent Ground Surveillance Systems (GPSS). “The fruit of peace is always hanging on the tree of silence”, a chapter dedicated to the life in a Combat Out Post. Using different perspectives is a perfect storyteller mechanism which integrates context and tension of the life of these nine men. Within all wonders, this non-fictional film aims to not only grab the attention of a military audience, it rather appeals to captivate us with the beauty of each crescendo of testimonies of courageous soldiers in their outstanding mission.
