Michela, an actress, and Corinna, a photographer, are two young women who share a flat. The arrival of an uncommon and disturbing character, Mark Walker, breaks the girls' ordinary lives' routine. Mark is an acclaimed art critic who's searching for a woman willing to perform an unusual part in a play for him.
Through a series of encounters between Mark and Corinna, who follows Mark's instructions and impersonate beautiful and mysterious Fiammetta, a complex and emotional plot takes shape.
Corinna's now jealous fiancé Tino and Michela investigate on the personality and and the real aims of Mark who's specialised in forged paintings.
Tino's findings and Corinna's deep emotional involvement with Mark trigger a series of events that will lead to an unpredictable end.
The main hidden character of the movie is love itself: an exclusive, immense and tragic feeling more powerful than any logical aspect of life and impossible not to follow. Everything is fictitious and deceitful and every character has his own "double-self", be it imaginary or true. The strategy of emotions develops through a passionate path until the very end.
