In a small town in the Nebrodi mountains, in Sicily, hundreds of barefoot worshippers, dressed in white, brave the winter cold and invoke the grace of saint Sebastian. The votive rite has involved the community for generations.

About you, I know everything; about myself, I know nothing.’ Between the sacred and the secular, in a mixture of folklore and liturgy, a natural passion can be sensed that goes beyond religion and superstition. I tried to film the intimate involvement of the community; I’m talking about the mysterious relationship between faith and the individual. These people have a feeling of shared faith which forges the sense of a community.
