"Beyond" is a journey that tells of a change. Piero is an accomplished 60-year-old man, but he wasn't always so: at 19, during the turbulent '70s, after a dramatic accident and desperately searching for a higher meaning of life, meets a man who changes his path’s direction and helps him to understand the meaning of life. After moving to the United States, where he has lived for many years, and after becoming a journalist, writer and successful lecturer, Piero is offered the chance to make a documentary film about the man who was so important to him. "Beyond" tells Piero’s return to Italy and his journey in Massimo Scaligero’s footsteps and places. Meetings with friends who shared with him those adventurous years will help him regain his own past and confront his present.
