For the fist time in Italy inside the maximum-security prison of Terni, located 100 km North of Rome, six prisoners started an experimental project made only possible by the vision of a young female prison director and permission of the Justice Department.
After learning how to use a video camera in a workshop, the prisoners shot for a few months their own documentary film about their lives. Heavy sentences due to murder, armed robbery, drug trafficking. Six different stories, different personalities, different nationalities, different stages of the detention. The result is Fuori Fuoco, a film where not one frame was staged, where the simple truth is the surprising angle.
