The territory of Stromboli is unique. The volcano erupts about twenty times a day and the inhabitants call it respectfully "Iddu" (“him”).

It is a breathtaking beauty where kids grow into nature.

But despite the paradisiac summer facade, every winter the community experiences loneliness and isolation. The school remains often close and the island inexorably depopulates.
Carolina married a strombolian fisherman and she is mother of three. She wants to keep her family unite. She believes in self-organization. She’s created an Association to provide kids an alternative education on the island. This film is about her struggle and resistance towards all obstacles.
