Alone, surrounded by the wild, unspoiled countryside, ROBERTA is the last Italian cowboy – an archaic, male-dominated profession she inherited from her father after his early death. Roberta gallops through endless valleys, leading her herd of wild longhorn cattle. It is a tough life which no one wants any more. At the mercy of nature and the animals, archaic forces which will not bend to Roberta’s will, any hitch could put her work and her life in danger. But Roberta is stubborn. And when that world revolts and her mother turns against her, she will have to make a choice. Will she manage to protect her wild freedom, or will she have to give everything up?
