It is a journey of hope, looking for a better future thanks to some women’ s strenght. In Arab Rafedìn means "among the two rivers", a space located between the Tigers and the Euphrates where many refugees seek shelter. But Rafedìn is also a fashion brand, born in Amman, Jordan, to offer a new life to those girls who escaped from Isis and now wait for a visa. In 2016 “Abuna” Mario, a Tuscan priest of the Latin Patriarchy in Jerusalem, met Rosaria, an apulian tailor, in Bethlem. Here they came up with an inspiring idea: creating a textile laboratory in order to give to those young girls a new chance. A small room and 5 sewing machines: that’s where the products branded ‘Rafedìn - Made by Iraqi Girls’ take shape thanks to a perfect fusion of eastern and western world.
