Armando, Titti, Tonino and Loredana. The film shows the poverty as well as the physical and moral misery of a family of slums dwellers living at the outskirts of a huge metropolis: Rome. A story the director has followed for 10 years. Live-recorded, the story is intimate and painful. The lives of these people flow in time, and always stay the same. Armando is a former boxing World champion with Alzheimer. Loredana, after more than 50 years of marriage and nine children, still stands by his side. Tonino, a man with an unknown past, takes care of their first daughter: Titti. Titti is a cardiopathic diabetic and psychotic woman stricken by a past of violence and misery. The vulgar, tender, filthy, cynical, grotesque, and poetic "comedy" of their lives is told by their own voices.
