Two inseparable friends experiencing pregnancy together are tragically taken from life in an accident. Unable to cope with grief and the challenges of fatherhood and widowhood on their own, their husbands resolve to join forces and support each other in raising their children. This new, unusual family turns out to be surprisingly close-knit and unafraid to challenge prejudice. When a new woman enters their lives though, their unexpected harmony is put to the test.
