On the outskirts of Florence, in the suburb of the Isolotto, hidden in a large garden a few meters from the noise of the highway, is the Technical Institute for Tourism Marco Polo. Every morning 150 professors and 1600 students cross its doors to face the challenges with which the school forces them to come to terms. These are the same challenges that millions of people all over the world face every day, which do not concern only the programs to be taught or the notions to be learned, but the very essence of education, the sense of citizenship, the value of welcoming. This film is a journey through those challenges.
