In a time beyond time, in the waste land, there unfolds the journey of the pure fool, the man who having lost all certainty, including any that might relate to his own biographical identity or to historical memory, can still unconsciously forge a way of 'being in the world' by compassion and by a trusting renunciation of individual will. A total experience of the practice of being as opposed and antagonistic to the practice of doing that is the demon of the Western world.
