In Tansen (Nepal) lives a young Tibetan woman: Metok, a rural midwife. She decided to keep her word to her mother and crossing the border towards Tibet and assist women in their labor work.
During her travel, she'll find geographical and climatic difficulties, too several military controls will put her goal in danger. She'll meet Tibetan refugees that will help her during her journey and with whom she'll have conversations that in a fragmentary way rebuild the story of that nationless people.
Finally, she'll cross the border and arrive in Lhaze, a little rural town, precarious and with a strong presence of the Chinese Government. There, after a long labor, she will help the birth of a Tibetan's child.
