The movie was born from the desire to deepen the themes that were raised last year during the Minor Synod "Church of the Gentiles". The Synod was the initial starting point for the development phase which lasted several months and allowed to identify the realities significant from the point of view of the relationship between people who have just arrived in our country and communities of historical residents.
During the course of the work, it is highlighted that this compression ratio can take different forms depending on the time and contingent needs of the individual realities. To return these different nuances, the film has been structured in chapters that represent the different degrees of this relationship. Furthermore, it is evident from the film that this process of gradual approach does not only concern the Catholic faithful, but also opens up to the presence of faithful of other religions who attend and share some of the spaces that have always been reserved for Catholics.
