Four climbers from Trentino (Italy): Silvestro, Luca, Tomas and Nicola, committed to realising their dream of making the first ascent of the East Pillar of Shivling Kishtwar (5.800 m.) in the Himalayas in the Indian state of Kashmir. From New Delhi they undertake a breathtaking road trip lasting four days to reach Gulab Gahr, along with four Indians who assist them during expedition. They ascend the Bujas Valley on foot helped by mules and herders where they learn about diverse cultures, people and religions. Having reached the site where they will establish their base camp, they finally see towering above them the long-awaited 800-metre-high wall. Here begins their mammoth struggle to complete the climb; from the approach, to the bivouacs and the complexity of the wall itself: sheer and imposing.
