From an old attic re-emerges the incredible story of Alberto Spadolini, one
of the most eclectic and lesser-known artists of the twentieth century. After
studying in Rome at Anton Giulio Bragaglia's “Teatro degli Indipendenti”,
he met and became a close friend of Gabriele D’Annunzio who introduced
him to the artistic circles of Paris.
In the capital of France, he established himself as an actor, director, painter
and set designer, but above all as an internationally renowned dancer.
During his life he has performed in all European stages, along with
celebrities from the entertainment world such as Josephine Baker,
Catherine Hessling and Mistinguett. During the Second World War he
actively collaborated in the opposition to Nazism.
