Nicholas Chierici is an insurer in his thirties. He has a nice home, a steady job and above all a good family. But he is unhappy. An unspeakable desire haunts him since he was a child: he wants to be an actor. Nicholas live a precarious balance in which acting is a hobby and a good reputation is the only goal to be preserved no matter what. Nicholas' days go on in black and white, dragging on, as if stuck in a “Groundhog Day” with no way out. Nicholas, to solve his difficulties, has for some time been accustomed to resorting to a method of meditation based on “hugs” in which he meets “the Director”. Just when Nicholas returns to believe in the possibility of being happy, he is cornered by life, and he will no longer be able to avoid taking a final decision. In an emotional roller coaster of misadventures and very hard trials, he will be forced to face his own demons and fears. The very meaning of Nicholas' existence will have torn apart.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES:
From the very beginning, this project has one purpose above all: to inspire people in the search for what thrills and makes them happy and, once found, use their talents. D(io) is a story of conflicts, turning points, monsters, fears and wonder. It is a story of happy visions that everyone has experienced once in their lifetime but it is also one of unfulfilled and unaccomplished dreams, too painful to face. We wanted to reach as many people as possible through a versatile medium like the web series. Then we realized that our universal story fragmented by an episodic fruition, would have weakened his emotional strength, so we decided that it had to be a feature film, a choice that makes us proud.
