The documentary/interview, made on the occasion of Romano Prodi’s 80th birthday, retraces fragments of his life through a sincere dialogue between oneself and oneself, full of memories, reflections, second thoughts.
A dialogue that allows us to enter, from an unprecedented perspective, into many scenes of his public life (from the Presidency of the Council to that European Commission) and private (the holiday home, teachers, marriage, friendships).
In this journey through time, moved by the awareness of having been part of “a fortunate generation”, the years of formation take on particular importance, in which, through family and social relationships and the willingness to share, to “do together” as a constitutive rule of living. Romano Prodi’s deepest values mature. Those that will lead him to conceive of teaching as a mission, the profession of economist as a civil commitment and politics as passion, experience and competence.
