Toni and Champagnino live in a small town in Abruzzo where nothing ever happens. Champagnino drives the ambulance while Toni is a rescuer. One day they are asked to transport Emir, a patient in need of special care, to Serbia. With them there will also be Maria, Emir's daughter. During the trip, Toni, Champagnino and Maria will discover that they do not know the whole truth and that Emir's choices will certainly change their lives too...
