Palermo, 2015. Leonardo, 19, leaves his hometown to join his sister in London and begin his Business studies. However, his initial enthusiasm soon fades away. Restless, he impulsively enrolls at the University of Siena to study literature. But here too, he drops out and decides to immerse himself in the study of Italian ‘bella lingua’ texts. It is going be an academic year of solitude, sporadic and strange sociality and generational confrontations. A year later, Leonardo is in Turin, where he meets a man, an acquaintance of him, with whom he will have a more direct confrontation than usual.

DIRECTOR'S NOTES:
The film is an investigation of a 19-year-old boy and an analysis of his life and his being a student.
Leonardo is initially presented as a boy who is sometimes awkward but follows a conformist lifestyle. As the story develops, his asocial and neurotic nature emerges, sublimated in the obsession of a rigid idea of literature and being a writer.
