Adele and Sofia, two childhood friends now in their thirties, meet again after a long time to fulfill their childhood dream: reaching the top of Mount Etna. But something is off and a bitter confrontation breaks out, opening old wounds and unveiling new secrets.
They split and soon after the volcano trembles. Adele wishes she had gone back, reached with Sofia the crater and listen to its magical breathing.
By completing their journey alone, Adele finds the strength to forgive herself.
