Stavamo bene insieme, a film directed by Mattia Molinari, is a documentary that tells the story of Ancelotti's AC Milan, which on a night of May 2003 in Manchester saw Paolo Maldini raise to the sky the sixth Champions Cup won in Rossoneri history. It was a golden period for the team, which has remained etched in the memory and hearts of the fans, but in the space of four years Milan was able to touch Heaven to begin a painful descent into the Underworld and then, without breaking down, rise again to the heights of Olympus. Istanbul, 2005, Champions League final. Milan battled Liverpool and at the end of the first half seemed to have victory in the bag with a 3-0 win. In the second half, however, the opponent recovered to equalise and thus take the game to penalties, winning the final. The match, which had started with favourable winds in the first half, immediately took a turn for the worse and Milan saw that victory snatched out of their hands with disarming speed. In the Champions League final in Athens in 2007, Milan this time were determined to triumph and history seemed to serve them on a silver platter a rematch with Liverpool, once again as opponents. After the disappointment of Istanbul, Milan fought tooth and nail to defeat the Red Devils and this time they succeeded, becoming European champions for the seventh time. These three finals are the three acts of the play written by Ancelotti's Milan, which saw the triumph, the fall and a glorious resurrection of the Milanese club, thanks also to its actors on stage, the players, some of whom gathered at the San Siro to recall the best memories of those three fantastic nights.
