After 40 years of teaching in the Roman jungle, an elementary school teacher manages to be assigned to a school made up of a single class, with children aged 7 to 10, in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park. Thanks to the help of the vice principal and the children, he overcomes his metropolitan inadequacy and becomes one of them. When everything seems to be going well, however, the news arrives that the school will close due to lack of enrolments. Thus begins a battle to avoid its closure in any way.
