Andrea, as a teenager, was considered a very promising jockey but, after the death of his mother, he abandoned the tracks of the racetracks. A chance meeting with Tony, his former trainer at the San Rossore horse riding school, leads Andrea to believe he can return to the promising jockey he was. Unfortunately the only horse Tony is willing to give him is Laghat, an exceptional thoroughbred but with a serious eye impairment.
