Francesca is a 50-year-old actress who finally, after a long time, announces to her psychiatrist that she has obtained the role she had been longing for. She will be playing the role of Begonia, the protagonist of a legend connected to the dense forests of central Italy.
In order to fully immerse herself in her part, she decides to visit the places where the legend originated. Amidst thick woods and crystal- clear streams, Francesca will have unusual encounters and her mind will begin to wander.
