Ivan is a blind from birth musician who lives in Berlin. He returns to his city of origin, Naples, to take the last set of genetic exams that will confirm whether or not he can undergo an experimental operation that may give him sight, but he will have to come to terms with the awareness of a hypothetical future in colour and the consciousness of a black and white past. Before the outcome of the examinations, Ivan begins a walk through Naples, recalling memories and experiences from his life, stopping off at the places that are most significant to him.
