Adopted in Cambodia when he was four years old and brought to Rome, Vakhim, now 18 years old, returns for the first time, with his parents, Francesca and Simone, and with Maklin, a newfound sister, to the village where he was born. He goes to meet his origins and his birth mother.
Through the extraordinary home movies shot by his mother Francesca - the film's director - and new footage shot in Cambodia, we immerse ourselves in the story of Vakhim and his family, between past and present.
