Tua, a black childhood oncologist from Bahia, has been living in Europe since the late 1970s, due to the murder of his father and the torture his mother suffered when she was arrested. When her mother, who was never able to recover from the torture she suffered, commits suicide, Tua returns to Brazil and meets her grandmother Sina.
