South Italy, a small-town police station. A detective is questioning a scared-looking mailman arrested for pulling a knife on a police officer. After an initial silence, the man starts a confused account of events occurring some 20 years earlier to him and a group of close friends: Gianluca, Walter, Peppino, Margherita, and her little brother, Andrea. Now in their early thirties, the protagonists are showing evident emotional issues and borderline personalities. Gianluca has recently decided to move back to their hometown, and they all know why: to seek revenge. So, they all suddenly decide to follow him to prevent him from doing something stupid. But also, maybe, this town they had to abandon due to trauma is like a magnet to them. Once there they realize the real reason behind their sudden return is the need to finally get to terms with what happened twenty years before.
