Marta, after having spent a lifetime caring for her elderly mother, is now almost 50 years old. She is not married and has no children: suddenly, observing her increasingly ill mother, she despairs at the idea of ​​remaining alone for the rest of her life. After years spent at her mother's side, Marta decides to leave her alone for an entire weekend, following Amir on a short trip. But that very journey will have a sad epilogue and Marta will find herself alone again.
