The film follows Mariano Guerra, called to return to Argentina to testify in the trial against the soldiers who kidnapped and tortured him during the military dictatorship, the same dictatorship that organized the 1978 World Cup while the country was gripped by clandestine repression.
The film does not tell the story of the return of a hero seeking revenge, but rather the journey of a man who carries within himself his own shadow: overcome by torture, he spoke out, denouncing his comrades.
