Through the body, eyes, and steps of Irina Karamanos, the film aims to investigate how South America has become a laboratory of permanent change. This laboratory spreads its concentric waves to the rest of the world, just like a stone in the water, starting from Chile and becoming viral. Irina, young anthropologist and political activist, one of the founders of the party Convergenca Social, and the ex partner of the current young President of Chile, Gabriel Boric, who was elected in 2021 at the age of just 36.
“The first lady who didn’t want to be first lady anymore”, represents the genesis of a new idea immersed in the present and has shaken Chilean society and all of Latin America since she announced on December 29, 2022, that she was giving up the role of First Lady.
