Between faith and superstition, the vampire reveals the hidden soul of our culture. It is a collective journey through a lesser-known Italy, where scholars, historians, anthropologists, and communicators reconstruct the myth of the vampire as a cultural and anthropological phenomenon deeply rooted in our imagination. Far from conventional horror, the documentary explores the figure of the “returning one” through Balkan influences, apotropaic burials, and Christian beliefs that saw in the undecayed body both the mark of the demonic and the relic of the saint.
