We The Others intends to present the work and lives of Fernando and Humberto Campana, the acclaimed Brazilian design duo, renowned as ground-breaking figures in today’s crea4ve landscape. Over the past 40 years, the brothers have not only leH an indelible mark on the design world but have also been ac4vely engaged in social ini5a5ves. Campana brothers’ pioneering approach to design and art has set them apart as a unique example in the industry. The concept of craHing a documentary, spanning from the beginning of their endeavors in 1984 to the present day, emerged as a celebra4on of the studio’s 40th anniversary.
Beginning with the cactus toys they craHed as children and extending to the latest project in their hometown of Brotas—a vast park where they have planted 20,000 na4ve tree seedlings and are construc4ng twelve green pavilions—the film aims to provide via a series of interviews, and through the voice and presence of Humberto, an overview on the prolific and remarkable lives of the two ar4sts. The documentary will also offer an extensive outline of the diverse global collabora4ons and individuals who have engaged with the company, both in Brazil and abroad.
