A year after the death of the girl he was in love with, a teenager and his friends decide to return to the campsite where they first met her.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES:
"CICADAS" was born at the end of 2021, written by a young director, Matteo Chiaretti, who proposes a touching screenplay that deserves, however, a necessary premise. Sara D'Apolito, childhood friend and summer adventure companion of the director, lost her life in a tragic car accident on the night of San Lorenzo of that same summer.
Shaken by the loss of his friend, the director decides to fill the void caused by her passing by writing a screenplay that can tell her story, and above all, remember her.
The story follows the turmoil of a young boy (Giulio) and his friends, who, one year after the death of the girl whom our protagonist was infatuated with (Anna), decide to return to the campsite where they first met her, trying to deal with the past once and for all.
"CICADAS" seeks to tell the pure and vulnerable experience of a group of teenagers who reunite to overcome the loss of a loved one and confront the dissolution of their summer carefreeness.
