The 'Concertozzo' - Music and inclusion in Italy is a documentary produced by Banijay Italia for Warner Bros. Discovery, which tells the behind-the-scenes of the Concertozzo, a two-day event combining great live music and social awareness, organized by Elio e le Storie Tese and Trio Medusa in Monza last May. The goal of the event is to promote the rights of people affected by autism spectrum and that of their families, a true Woodstock of inclusion. For the first time in Italy and globally, at the Concertozzo, food and beverage services during the concert were entirely managed by organizations employing autistic individuals. The initiative aimed to highlight concrete examples of the important work many associations are increasingly promoting with exceptional results, ensuring that autism is not seen as a barrier to inclusion in the social and cultural life of communities. The documentary tells the stories of Bea, Lorenzo, Matteo, and Andrea—four young autistic individuals employed by PizzAut, an organization that raises awareness about the employability of autistic people and was involved in the Concertozzo. We discover how their lives have changed since they started working, and their voices allow us to experience not only the excitement and anticipation for the upcoming event but also the strength and determination that define them, as well as their challenges and dreams. The narrative also expands to include other associations involved in the two-day event, such as Voglio la Luna, Tortellante, SbrisolAut, I Ragazzi della Luna, Cascina San Vincenzo, FacciaVista, Rete TikiTaka, La Tenda – Progetto gli Sgusciati, and AutAcademy. It is a story filled with emotions, reflections, and “fun awareness,” as the tale moves between the Concertozzo stage and the realities of the four protagonists.
