Bruno is a former rock guitarist, a pathological liar, a selfish, vain man and an absent father. After a chain of tragicomic mistakes, he ends up in jail. It looks like he hit rock bottom, but, in the most constricting place of all, he is presented with an unexpected opportunity: starting a band with his fellow inmates to participate in the Roma Rock Contest. This would allow him to win the money he needs to keep a promise made to his daughter Tina: taking her to the US for a legendary Rock Tour.
