DIRECTOR'S NOTES:
Orson Welles represents for cinema what Giordano Bruno was for philosophy—an artist who understood and revealed a truth that the powers that be in information would have preferred to keep hidden.
It may seem paradoxical that a director capable of making Citizen Kane at only 25 years old later struggled to make other films for the rest of his career. In reality, there is an explanation for this self-destructive behavior by the film industry, which will be revealed in "O – the fiRSt mOvie by aN alien."
If the philosopher from the late 1500s was condemned to the stake in Piazza Campo de' Fiori in Rome for refusing to renounce his ideas, the "burning" Orson Welles endured was the ostracism he faced for revealing that often the boundaries between truth and fiction are very thin. I believe the time has come to give justice to Welles' courage and genius.
