A male and a female Italian operator working for Watch The Med Alarm Phone receive an emergency phone call from the central Mediterranean Sea. For about eleven minutes the operators remain in contact with a man in danger and struggle to save the lives of one hundred migrants sinking on a rubber boat. The situation on board gets worse: the migrants fall into the water, the boat sinks and the communication is interrupted. The destiny of the people on board remains a mystery. Maybe a ship will arrive to save them, maybe someone will die, maybe everyone will die.
