On the eve of the election campaign for mayor of Naples, a man returns alone to the “Vele” in Scampia and reopens the historic headquarters of the Tenants’ Committee that for 30 years had represented the social struggles of those who never surrendered to the idea that the suburbs should be abandoned. His nostalgia for the struggles of those years goes hand in hand with the need to stand by the people who still live in the “Vele”, the last families on the assignment list for whom a new home has yet to be found, as well as the families of the new squatters who have not found anywhere else to live in Naples.
