Gioia is an acclaimed Italian pianist, now elderly. Ana is her Romanian caregiver. For ten years they have lived together, building a deep and peaceful relationship. One morning, Gioia wakes up and Ana is gone: she's returned to Romania, where the world she left behind is no longer the same.
