The documentary tells the story of Tinto Brass, the formation years in Paris at the cinématèque francaise Side by Side with Roberto Rossellini, Henri Langlois e Joris Ivens discussing cinema with other illustrious young filmakers such as Bresson, Godard, Truffaut, at the dawn of nouvelle vague. His first masterpieces like “Chi lavora è perduto”, and the experimental movies like “L’urlo”, “Drop out”, “Col cuore in gola”. His relationship with Dino De Laurentis, Alberto Sordi, Silvana Mangano. the discovery of a great actor like Gigi Proietti, and the wild and adventurous films with Franco Nero and Vanessa Redgrave. A political Tinto, an anarchic, innovative, experimental cinema full of linguistic inventions that came out thanks to brilliant editing, elaborated after a collaboration with Ivens and Rossellini and a job in the archives of the cinématèque. An almost forgotten cinema that this documentary will bring to light before covering Tinto’s private life, his special relationship with his wife Tinta, his son Bonifacio and the actor’s who worked with. And then his first great successes, the cinema of power with “Salon Kitty” and “Caligula” and the arrival of erotic cinema with “La Chiave” which proclaim his enormous success with the international public, until finally reaching the present, the Brass who is a media figure and his iconography of voyeuristic pleasure by now burned in the hearts of the public.
